How To Compress An Audio File Without Loosing its quality

The tool you are seeing on the image is Audacity. It is a popular Audio-editor that lets you add multiple effects and changes to any kind of audio you want. Before opening your audio there, you need to edit a few preferences. It will lower the size automatically without doing doing anything.

  •  Firstly open Audacity, and go to edit ► preferences ► QualityNow
  • lower the sample-rate to  11 k, if the audio is speech or 24 k, if it is something else.
  • Turn Sample-rate to 16-bit.
  • Now open the Audio and then Go to File ► and export it as Mp3.
This will lower the quality a little bit, but can decrease the size 5 times than the original. This compression method is manual and hence really effective and used by most of the people.
